The American Institute of Architects- Defining Professionalism In The Field Of Architecture

     The American Institute of Architects offers public outreach programs, government advocacy, education and community development initiatives that aim at promoting construction as a profession, and to enhance its image in the public domain. AIA has its headquarters in Washington, D.C in the United States. Thomas V. Vonier is the current president of AIA and FAIA as the Chief Executive officer. In 1857, the American Institute of Architects got founded in New York City by a group of 13 architects.
